Sam has spent over 15 years in the design world with a focus on kitchen and bath hardware. From builder spec to luxury projects, he has a non-biased appreciation for the full style spectrum from overly ornate to classically modern. “In my design process I love to carefully blend aesthetics and ornament to discover details I haven’t seen before, that’s what keeps it fresh for me.” Preferred interior decor style is making your home a museum to showcase every sentimental belonging you own. Aside from fashion plumbing Sam enjoys designing and building furniture and homewares, landscaping, being outside and growing vegetables with his dog.

Lead Industrial Designer across multiple home brands including Moen, Riobel, Rohl, Master lock and Fiberon. Tasks include: Maintaining design integrity from concept, to CAD, to production. Creative problem solving through form and function driven by research and consumer insights. Concept generation and ideation through hand sketching, rendering, storyboards and physical mock ups. CAD modeling and 3D rendering (Solidworks, Creo, Keyshot). Proficiency in leading and balancing multiple projects at once from a design perspective. 2nd Shift Design Co.
Owner and founding member of the furniture and homeware design studio. Collaborations with local clients and national retailers including Anthropologie, Artifact Uprising and Food52. Tasks included: Design, fabrication, marketing and sales of our own product line, as well as working with outside manufacturers and wholesaling our products to retailers.
The Cleveland Flea
Designer / Carpenter / Set Director
Tasks included: Designing and fabricating props, furniture and displays for a modern large scale pop up market. Created a streamlined process for the set up, take down and storage of all items and infrastructure.
